Manny tops the 100 list

The Ring Magazine, the so-called Bible of boxing, recently released its 100 best fighters for 2010, and for the second straight year, Manny Pacquiao topped the list. No surprise there. Pacman is on top of virtually every boxing expert’s pound-for-pound list, and rightly so.

Jay Park win 2010 Mashable Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Boy band Super Junior and rapper Jay Park won in the 2010 Mashable Awards, formerly the Open Web Awards.

Super Junior was voted Must Follow Personality while Jay Park won the Best Web Video Award. News site allkpop.com also won the Must Follow Brand Award.

The winners in different categories were feted last Jan. 6 at the New York New York Hotel in Las Vegas.

“The Mashable Awards celebrate major innovations and achievements in the digital and social media landscape by companies, people and projects via an open, multilingual, international, community-nominated voting platform,” according to the awards website.

Organizers said 1.3 million votes and nominations were received this year.

The nominees that received the most number of votes online were declared the winners.
