Biyernes Santo,.Moriones Festival ,Manny Pacquiao sings ?

As per tradition, some of the Holy Week activities of Filipino Christians are being covered by the two biggest TV networks in the country, GMA-7 and ABS-CBN. For today, which is Biyernes Santo or Good Friday  the Seven Last Words or 'Siete Palabras' is the most anticipated of them where Catholics and Christians alike get to contemplate on the last words uttered by Jesus during his crucifixion.



Moriones Festival 
It is the wildest among Philippine fiestas  and considered as the Mother of All Philippine festivals. Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry during the last three days of this two week-long festival. Catholics and non-Catholics alike observe this special day with processions, Philippines, parades, dancing, and merrymaking.

The Moriones is an annual festival held on Holy Week on the island of Marinduque, Philippines. The "Moriones" are men and women in costumes and masks replicating the garb of biblical Roman soldiers.

Manny Pacquiao's recording of "Sometimes When We Touch" will be released globally before his May 7 WBO welterweight title fight in Las Vegas against American Shane Mosley.
Pacquiao, 32, recorded the song with its creator, Dan Hill, who made it a top ten hit in 1978. Other artists that have covered the song include Tina Turner, Tammy Wynette, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow and Engelbert Humperdinck..
