Lea Salonga opens Cats with a spranged ankle

Tony award-winning actress Lea Salonga has tripped and sprained her ankle.Lea Salonga began her singing career at the age of ten then excelled to super star of song stage and movies. Salonga, who plays “Grizabella” in the currently-running musical “Cats,” read poems from T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats” together with Australian cast members John O’Hara (Rum Tum Tugger) and Lisa-Marie Parker (Jellylorum/Griddlebone) at the CCP main theater.
